Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Version: 1.0
1. Our commitment to accessibility
Watt Helps Group Ltd. is committed to making the Watt Helps® website accessible and usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technologies.
We want visitors to be able to understand our information, navigate the website and contact Watt Helps® without unnecessary barriers.
We aim to develop and maintain the website with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
2. Using this website
We aim for the Watt Helps® website to allow visitors to:
- navigate the main areas of the website using a keyboard;
- clearly see which interactive element has keyboard focus;
- access pages on different screen sizes and devices;
- move directly to the main page content using a skip link;
- understand page content through clear headings and structured information;
- identify links, buttons and form fields clearly;
- use appropriately labelled form controls;
- zoom or enlarge content using their browser or device settings; and
- access meaningful alternative text where images convey information.
We also aim to use clear and understandable language wherever reasonably possible.
3. Accessibility measures currently used
The Watt Helps® website has been developed with accessibility considered as part of its structure and design.
Current measures include:
- semantic HTML page structure;
- headings organised to help visitors understand page content;
- a “Skip to main content” link;
- keyboard-accessible navigation controls;
- visible focus indicators for links, buttons and form controls;
- responsive layouts designed for desktop, tablet and mobile screens;
- form labels associated with relevant form fields;
- descriptive page titles and navigation labels; and
- colour and design choices that take readability and contrast into consideration.
Accessibility will continue to be considered when new pages, images, forms, documents and other website features are introduced.
4. Current accessibility status
The Watt Helps® website is still being developed and tested.
We aim to work towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA, but we do not currently claim that every part of the website fully conforms to that standard.
A formal independent accessibility audit has not yet been completed.
We intend to review the website as it develops and address accessibility problems that are identified through testing, feedback or future changes to the website.
5. Known limitations and areas being tested
The website is currently undergoing further development.
In particular:
- the website enquiry form is being prepared for live use and its completed submission process will need to be tested for keyboard use, error handling, instructions and accessibility;
- new photographs, illustrations and other meaningful images will need appropriate alternative text when they are added;
- any future downloadable documents will need to be reviewed for accessibility before or when they are made available; and
- third-party websites or services linked from the Watt Helps® website may have their own accessibility standards and are outside our direct control.
We will update this statement if testing identifies specific accessibility problems that visitors need to know about.
6. Requesting information in an accessible format
If you cannot access information on the Watt Helps® website or need information in a different format, please contact us.
Depending on your needs and the information requested, we will consider reasonable ways of providing the information in a more accessible format.
You can tell us:
- what information you need;
- which page or content you are having difficulty accessing;
- the format that would help you; and
- how you would prefer us to contact you.
7. Reporting an accessibility problem
